Canyon View Middle School (CVMS) is one of two middle schools in Cedar City, Utah (the other being Cedar Middle School). It is part of the Iron County School District. The principal is Conrad Aitken. The mascot is the Cougars. Canyon View Middle School publishes the Cougar Copies newspaper. The PTA president is Sandy Smith.

Kolob Regional Care & Rehabilitation Center was built in 2000. According to an independent survey Kolob Regional ranks in the top 7% of nursing facilities according to individuals who have experienced our services, when compared to over 300 facilities surveyed. It is Medicare and Medicaid certified. The administrator is Glade Hamilton. Vicki Warren is the director of nursing. The facility includes private rooms, physical therapy, dining room, outdoor patio, beauty salon and day room.

Deseret Industries is both a nonprofit, vocational rehabilitation facility and a thrift store.

Deseret Industries is composed of three related parts. First, trainees work, receive training, and find long-term employment. Second, the public may purchase inexpensive, quality merchandise in a clean, safe retail environment. To those in need, merchandise is provided at no cost. Third, all people may provide meaningful service through the donation of time and merchandise.

Deseret Industries is sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Established in 1938 as a single thrift store, today there are 46 stores serving people in seven western states: Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.

This post office services zip code 84720 (Addresses in Cedar City south of 200 North) and 84721 (Addresses north of 200 North, including Enoch). Walter Granger served as postmaster from 1914 to 1922 (He also served as mayor). The current postmaster is Christina Hahn.
